Key of Solomon · Figure 20
The Third Pentacle of Jupiter
Jupiter ♃︎ · Thursday · Tin · Celestial blue
What it is for
Protects whoever summons spirits; shown to them, they obey at once.
Its virtue
This defendeth and protecteth those who invoke and cause the Spirits to come. When they appear show unto them this Pentacle and immediately they will obey.
The Key of Solomon the King, Mathers (1889), Figure 20. Public domain.
What is written on it
The seal of Jupiter and the seal of its Intelligence, with the Names Adonai and IHVH in the quarters.
The versicle
“A Song of degrees. They that trust in IHVH shall be as Mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.”
Psalm 125:1
How it is made
- Engrave it in tin on a Thursday, in an hour of Jupiter. Made in the planet's metal, it needs no particular colour.
- Or draw it on virgin paper or parchment, exorcised first, in celestial blue, the colour of Jupiter.
- The material must be new and never used for anything else. Metal is first purified by fire.
- The size is up to you, as long as it is made by the rules. Burn the incense while you work, and be pure in body and mind.
