The Key of Solomon the King, Mathers (1889), Figure 22. Public domain.

What is written on it

A figure of interlaced triangles holding Hebrew letters.

The versicle

“As I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of Elohim.”

Ezekiel 1:1

How it is made

  • Engrave it in tin on a Thursday, in an hour of Jupiter. Made in the planet's metal, it needs no particular colour.
  • Or draw it on virgin paper or parchment, exorcised first, in celestial blue, the colour of Jupiter.
  • The material must be new and never used for anything else. Metal is first purified by fire.
  • The size is up to you, as long as it is made by the rules. Burn the incense while you work, and be pure in body and mind.
