Key of Solomon · Figure 24

The Seventh Pentacle of Jupiter

Jupiter ♃︎ · Thursday · Tin · Celestial blue

What it is for

Against poverty, and for driving off the spirits that guard treasure.

Its virtue

It hath great power against poverty, if thou considerest it with devotion, repeating the versicle. It serveth furthermore to drive away those Spirits who guard treasures, and to discover the same.

The Key of Solomon the King, Mathers (1889), Figure 24, the last of Jupiter. Public domain.

What is written on it

The mystical characters of Jupiter on an eight-rayed wheel.

The versicle

“Lifting up the poor out of the mire, and raising the needy from the dunghill, that he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people.”

Psalm 113:7

How it is made

  • Engrave it in tin on a Thursday, in an hour of Jupiter. Made in the planet's metal, it needs no particular colour.
  • Or draw it on virgin paper or parchment, exorcised first, in celestial blue, the colour of Jupiter.
  • The material must be new and never used for anything else. Metal is first purified by fire.
  • The size is up to you, as long as it is made by the rules. Burn the incense while you work, and be pure in body and mind.
