The Key of Solomon the King, Mathers (1889), Figure 38, the last of the Sun. Public domain.

What is written on it

A cross bearing the angels of the four elements (Chasan of air, Arel of fire, Phorlakh of earth, Taliahad of water), with the four rulers Ariel, Seraph, Tharshis and Cherub between its arms.

The versicle

“Thou hast broken my bonds in sunder. I will offer unto thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the Name of IHVH.”

Psalm 116:16–17

How it is made

  • Engrave it in gold on a Sunday, in an hour of the Sun. Made in the planet's metal, it needs no particular colour.
  • Or draw it on virgin paper or parchment, exorcised first, in gold or yellow, the colour of the Sun.
  • The material must be new and never used for anything else. Metal is first purified by fire.
  • The size is up to you, as long as it is made by the rules. Burn the incense while you work, and be pure in body and mind.
