The Key of Solomon the King, Mathers (1889), Figure 35. Public domain.
What is written on it
IHVH and Adonai at the centre, with characters of the 'Passing of the River' alphabet along the rays.
The versicle
“Lighten mine eyes that I sleep not in death, lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him.”
Psalm 13:3–4
How it is made
- Engrave it in gold on a Sunday, in an hour of the Sun. Made in the planet's metal, it needs no particular colour.
- Or draw it on virgin paper or parchment, exorcised first, in gold or yellow, the colour of the Sun.
- The material must be new and never used for anything else. Metal is first purified by fire.
- The size is up to you, as long as it is made by the rules. Burn the incense while you work, and be pure in body and mind.
