The Key of Solomon the King, Mathers (1889), Figure 36. Public domain.
What is written on it
A square figure whose 'Passing of the River' characters form the names of spirits.
The versicle
“He shall give His Angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands.”
Psalm 91:11–12
How it is made
- Engrave it in gold on a Sunday, in an hour of the Sun. Made in the planet's metal, it needs no particular colour.
- Or draw it on virgin paper or parchment, exorcised first, in gold or yellow, the colour of the Sun.
- The material must be new and never used for anything else. Metal is first purified by fire.
- The size is up to you, as long as it is made by the rules. Burn the incense while you work, and be pure in body and mind.
