Key of Solomon · Figure 46
The Third Pentacle of Mercury
Mercury ☿︎ · Wednesday · Mixed metal · Mixed colours
What it is for
Calls the spirits of Mercury, above all those named on it.
Its virtue
This and the following serve to invoke the Spirits subject unto Mercury; and especially those who are written in this Pentacle.
The Key of Solomon the King, Mathers (1889), Figure 46. Public domain.
What is written on it
The mystical characters of Mercury on an eight-rayed wheel, ringed by the angels Kokaviel, Ghedoriah, Savaniah and Chokmahiel.
How it is made
- Engrave it in mixed metal on a Wednesday, in an hour of Mercury. Made in the planet's metal, it needs no particular colour.
- Or draw it on virgin paper or parchment, exorcised first, in mixed colours, the colour of Mercury.
- The material must be new and never used for anything else. Metal is first purified by fire.
- The size is up to you, as long as it is made by the rules. Burn the incense while you work, and be pure in body and mind.
