What it is for

The Key of Solomon the King, Mathers (1889), Figure 27. Public domain.

What is written on it

The letters of the Names Eloah and Shaddai in a triangle, with the great letter Vau at the centre.

The versicle

“Who is so great a God as our Elohim?”

Psalm 77:13

How it is made

  • Engrave it in iron on a Tuesday, in an hour of Mars. Made in the planet's metal, it needs no particular colour.
  • Or draw it on virgin paper or parchment, exorcised first, in red, the colour of Mars.
  • The material must be new and never used for anything else. Metal is first purified by fire.
  • The size is up to you, as long as it is made by the rules. Burn the incense while you work, and be pure in body and mind.
