The Second Pentacle of the Moon
Moon ☽︎ · Monday · Silver · Silver
What it is for
Against every danger by water, and it stills storms the Moon's spirits raise.
Its virtue
This serveth against all perils and dangers by water, and if it should chance that the Spirits of the Moon should excite and cause great rain and exceeding tempests about the Circle, in order to astonish and terrify thee; on showing unto them this Pentacle, it will all speedily cease.
The Key of Solomon the King, Mathers (1889), Figure 50. Public domain.
What is written on it
A hand pointing to the Name El and the angel Abariel.
The versicle
“In Elohim have I put my trust, I will not fear, what can man do unto me?”
Psalm 56:11
How it is made
- Engrave it in silver on a Monday, in an hour of the Moon. Made in the planet's metal, it needs no particular colour.
- Or draw it on virgin paper or parchment, exorcised first, in silver, the colour of the Moon.
- The material must be new and never used for anything else. Metal is first purified by fire.
- The size is up to you, as long as it is made by the rules. Burn the incense while you work, and be pure in body and mind.
