What is written on it
A pentagram holding the names of spirits of Venus.
The versicle
“Place me as a signet upon thine heart, as a signet upon thine arm, for love is strong as death.”
Song of Songs 8:6
How it is made
- Engrave it in copper on a Friday, in an hour of Venus. Made in the planet's metal, it needs no particular colour.
- Or draw it on virgin paper or parchment, exorcised first, in green, the colour of Venus.
- The material must be new and never used for anything else. Metal is first purified by fire.
- The size is up to you, as long as it is made by the rules. Burn the incense while you work, and be pure in body and mind.
